Born in Marfa, Texas in 1950
Raised on cattle ranches in Oklahoma and Kansas, Clay Lohmann attended Indian Camp school on the Osage Reservation in Oklahoma. He received a BFA in printmaking from Wichita State University. Clay Lohmann is interested in the materials and techniques of the visual arts. He has lived, worked, and exhibited in the US and abroad. In 2010, Lohmann's quilts were shown at the Schneider Museum of Art in Ashland, Oregon and the premier exhibition of the Textile Arts Center in Brooklyn, New York.
